This Cerakote project was a special collaboration with Strike Industries and NIC (Northwest Industrial Coating) for a patriotic 4th of July giveaway.
The team at Strike Industries gave me only a loose direction—“a flag” and maybe a “distressed” look—and then entrusted me with full Creative Freedom to bring the concept to life. I designed a distressed theme featuring the U.S. Constitution on one side of the slide and the Second Amendment on the other. At the front of the pistol, I created the effect of the Constitution tearing away to reveal a bold American flag beneath.
To give the flag extra depth and presence, I used Cerakote’s FX Series for a metallic finish that catches the light. For the finer details, I laser-engraved “We the People” into one side of the grip and the full text of the Second Amendment on the opposite side.
The result was a piece that blended history, artistry, and craftsmanship—making it not just a firearm, but a statement. Without question, this remains one of my favorite designs.
