About:
I had the opportunity to support and sponsor a local youth shooting team by customizing one of their pistol chassis systems, which convert a handgun into a rifle-style platform. When I spoke with the young competitor who would be using it in his next match, he told me he was a huge fan of the Halo video game series.
Drawing inspiration from the iconic character Master Chief, I designed the chassis to mimic the look and feel of his armor and weapons. I incorporated a battle-worn, distressed finish to give it authenticity, and completed the design with Master Chief’s legendary “117” marking. The end result looked like it had stepped straight out of the game and into real life.
When the young man first saw his custom build, his excitement and reaction made the project unforgettable. This piece not only showcased the creative side of my work but also reminded me of the impact these designs can have when they connect on a personal level.
